Challenge
Design distributed audio system for compact hotel ground-floor club with strict sound quality requirements. System needed to handle momentary overloads from microphones and live instruments while providing rapid source switching between streaming, TV audio, and sound engineer’s mixer. Glass storefront windows created acoustic challenges requiring precise speaker positioning to minimize reflections.
Solution
Applied precise acoustic calculations to optimize speaker positions minimizing glass surface reflections. Main hall equipped with modern MXlab column system delivering line array advantages in compact form factor. Remaining club zones covered with MXlab point-source speakers. System calibration performed using proprietary calibration methods achieving linear seamless high-quality sound coverage. Complete system managed via professional QSC MPM80 paging mixer enabling any source routing to any zone with smartphone volume control.
Results
Successfully achieved all project objectives with excellent sound quality. Venue now hosts parties, stand-up comedy shows, and various events. Staff easily switches audio sources without cable reconnections. System handles live performance dynamics while maintaining clear audio for entertainment and speaking events.
